Chester sat near the lakes edge his knees were drawn firmly to his chest. He had always like this part of Hogwarts the most. It was always so peaceful, at least it was when he choose to visit it. Chester didn't think much of trouble and often avoided it, yet he had always seemed to land himself in some sort of trouble.
He didn't mean to it was an accident, he never meant to cause others any sort of misfortune . Yet he did and that's why he was here. He was trying to avoid any sort of potential disaster for himself and others alike. Wrapping his arms around his chest, to shield himself from the chill breeze Chester continued to gaze out at the lakes horizon.
He was always so curious as to what lay beneath the lakes water and had mentally made a note to soon find out. He didn't like leaving things unquestioned. After mere moments Chester felt cool drops of rain fall onto his face. Rain. He had always found rain so inviting, so beautiful. Tossing back his head Chester closed his eyes and surrendered himself to his surroundings.
After ten minutes or so the rain had stooped. "Aw." he muttered softly. Oh well. It would rain again in do time. Maybe later on tonight. Chester stood up and thru his school bag around his small shoulder and remembered he really needed to send a letter to his mother. Him and his mom always wrote letters back and forth because she was worried about her daughter and always asking how she was. Chester didn't know though because he hadn't seen her in forever which really upset the Ravenclaw. He loved his sister and she shouldn't have ran away like she did. It was rather sad. Luna Longbottom cried every day hoping her daughter was ok.
Sighing he walked up the long steps slowly and heard something fall. "Lumos." He said brightly as he pulled his wand out.
He noticed no one was up here and ran straight back down. "Hello." He said more in an asking sort of way. Was anyone even out here? "Must've been a branch or something."

Kris had been very busy working on things with friends and trying to keep herself from running into too much trouble. She was making more and more friends and had become a popular little sixth year even by her standards. She had Gryffindor guys eating out of the palm of her hand not that she was interested in anyone anymore. After her latest break up it hurt to even think anymore. Not to say she just got around she just got out of a longer relationship and it hurt her to think about anything other then getting through it. She had caused some drama with the family and wasn't writing any longer she never wrote anyone any longer. She went out of her way to avoid her older brother and her grades were through the roof good all of assuden because she had nothing better to do other then study.
Today was different she was in a little better of a mood. She was found in a pair of light blue ripped jeans and a royal red wife beater she had stolen from someone. She sighed and walked out with a book in hand. She went walking she walked everywhere for no real reason more to just get thoughts out of her head and relax with the world. She was going to the lake but stopped seeing an all to familiar figure sitting under her favorite tree. Her older brother and she knew better he probably didn't want to see her anyway. After all she was the reason the family seemed a bit darker these days. She say the flimsy tree and groaned but climbed that in stead she didn't want to go in side she needed to be outside. She closed her eyes when the rain started. Kris didn't want to fall asleep but she wasn't sleeping great and the rain lulled her into a peaceful slumber.
She started to sleep and then her body weight shifted just slightly and the tree didn't seem to want to hold her steady any longer. A snap and a long fall later Kris woke up just in time to hit another branch but hold herself there. Her eyes resembled saucers with how bit they were. Light blue-Grey saucers filled with a combination of pain and surprise. She held her body like that for a few moments. She was a very skinny girl so she didn't have a hard time with that she saw the figure looking to see if anyone had fallen and when she heard his voice she knew to whom it belonged it was her older brother Chester and at this point she was unable to really move. She slowly lowered herself to the ground and looked at him. " Hi [/b]" She said in a more quieter tone hoping he wouldn't hear her but knowing that he would. She dropped down from the tree and waited to see what he said if he had anything to say. As she waited she looked to see if she had any serious injuries. But she just have a few cuts and scrapes which was good but she knew her entire torso would be bruised the next day. She cursed her self silently she really did need to eat a little more again but now that she was back at school most of the time she was found just stuffing her face. [/blockquote]

Chester blinked as he realized it was his sisters voice. First time he had seen her since school started but then again they were in different classes. Kristen did look alot like Chester and they both looked like there dad. Most the time Chester wished he looked like his mother with the beautiful blonde hair. Then he'd have bright blue eyes and blonde hair; that's what girls like right?
Shrugging to himself he pushed the thought from his mind. What he really wanted to know was why she was out here at this time of night. She could get in alot of trouble or even badly hurt if she wasn't careful. This worried him.
Chester let his eyes focus from were the voice was. "Hi Kristen." He said in a light tone. "What are you doing out here so late?"
Not that it was his business but he loved being protective of her. What else are older brother for other then arguing over stupid things? "Are you ok.?"

Kris listened to her brother's voice well at least he remembered her name that was always a good sign. She rolled her eyes as she looked over at her brother as he asked her what she was doing out so late. " Well I needed to think so I decided to climb a tree fell asleep and you know just fell I suppose. Or you know you could always go with the normal over used excuse I just decided to drop in. [/b]" She laughed a little but but it wasn't a normal laugh that said she was happy and everything. She looked over her brother and decided that if they were any more alike they would be twins. She thought about it but then realized that his bright blue eyes were what set the two of them apart other then the fact she was younger and a girl while he was older and a guy. She enjoyed looking like she did though she wasn't ever going to pull off being a blond like her mother. Though she could see her brother being able to pull it off. But she didn't really worry about it. She came out of her own thoughts when she heard him ask her if she was alright. She shrugged her shoulders," I suppose I've had worse nothing I can't handle comes with being on the clumsy side but you know that.[/b]" She said with a light hearted chuckle hoping he knew she was just teasing him. But she also knew he was fishing for more time with her. " How've you been Chester?[/b]" She never thought that the name Chester fit her brother but she did love using it to call his attention on to her. She was always like that when she wanted attention from her brother or was asking something. Kristen didn't mind her name she in fact loved her full name she just wasn't sure how to patch things up with her family and she wasn't all sure that it was what she wanted. She looked over at her older brother and asked " leaving the lake?[/b]" She was going to comment about him being out so late but she really didn't want things to be weird though they were slightly she really had tried hard not to bring her brother into it all. Leaving and running away like she had wasn't the smartest thing and Kristen knew it. What hurt the most was not having the family there. She just didn't know what to say so she shifted her weight from her heels to her toes and back. Wondering how long it would be until the subject of her running away would come up.[/blockquote]

Chester took his hair thru his chin length black and and sighed. Both of them carried there fathers clumsiness. Everytime Chester moved his feet he'd trip or run into some and with his luck it was a always a Slytherin that he ran into. He really didn't like the Slytherin house they were all so rude and uncaring. He has yet to met a decent one.
"I've been alright I suppose. It's good to see you again. It's been a few week." He said with a frown. Chester was really happy to see her though. He missed her face and being able to keep track of her; to protective.
"Well, I was going to leave but I don't know. You wanna hop in? Be hella cold but why not." There was always the heating charm he could use on the water so they wouldn't freeze themself to death. And of course he could accio some towls or somthing.

Kristen looked around over at her brother she growled lightly. It was a little weird to just be standing there and him finally bringing up the fact that she wasn't around. She looked around a little bit and sighed a little bit. " Yeah I suppose it's been a little bit but it's alright. It's nice to see you again it's been really hard. [/b]" She really didn't like having her family mad at her but she really wasn't sure what she was going to do. She bit her bottom lip and looked over at him and just smiled a little bit. Kris wasn't really sure what to do with him now that they were there. So she finally just asked quickly. " So how mad are you at me for leaving and Mom, Dad? Are they doing okay? I mean I really I don't want any of you to hurt because of me.[/b]" She smirked as her brother suggested going and hopping into the water. She laughed a real laugh for the first time in a long time. She nodded her head and shrugged her shoulders. " I was planning on going for a swim tonight anyway. So lets get to it big brother unless your too much of a rule follower.[/b] She laughed and went past her brother. Going quickly down the stony stairs looking over her left shoulder calling after her brother. " Come on Chester! Be a Gryffindor girls love guys who go and break the rules. Who knows you might end up with a sexy girlfriend![/b] She knew her brother was her brother but she knew that her brother was a guy and like any guy they wanted a girl to have into him. She just got down to the beach and ran over to the tree she went behind it and conjured up her cloths into a bathing suit. It never really occurred to her that most people thought it was weird going for a late night swim that would chill her to the bone with her older brother. Some people would question their sanity but Kris thought of it like spending some much needed time with her older brother. She loved having some time with her older brother. It was hard to live through harder times without having her brother around. " Do you want to heat it or shall you do it because I'm sorry but I'm not swimming in a lake that will seriously kill me and turn me blue. It's wrong and I just wont do it.[/b] She giggled and crossed her arms over her chest and crossed her legs trying to conserve her own body heat she waited to see what her brother had to say.[/blockquote]

"Not mad Kristen just very upset you left us." He muttered walking back toward the lake. He figured she would follow him or at least he thought she would. He laughed at her comment on heating the pond; he wasn't even going to hop in without heating it that would be crazy and it would probably give him a cold. He didn't need to be sick. Chester highly disliked the Hospital Wing.
"Of course I'm going to heat it." He grinned looking over to her. "I'm not that crazy." Chester took his wand from his back pocket and whispered a charm to warm the water. "There we go." He added tapping his head with the wand and his clothes quickly changed to his trunks. Good thing it was fast; you couldn't even see it switching out.
"I'll beat ya!" He laughed and ran right into the lake. "HOT! Holy shit to warm." Chester quickly ran out and cooled the water alittle with another charm. He was never good with spells. "Ok you get in and tell me how it feels this time." He laughed.

Kristen smiled as she looked over at her brother but her smiled faded when he said that they were all very upset. She sighed and just dropped it she didn't want to hear anymore and she didn't want to talk anymore at least not about that one thing. She smirked and rubbed her skin trying to create a certain heat between her limbs. She sighed and looked over at her brother as he seemed to be amused at her question if he was going to be heating the lake. She smirked as he said he would be doing it. She rolled her eyes her brother was always taking care of her. Still to this day her brother was her hero and was the guy that she went to, to make everything better or at least to give her a hug when she needed it. Granted a lot of the time she would go to her father but a lot of the time she would go to Chester.
She thought it was weird sometimes how she took a little more comfort with her brother then she did with her parents. But still when she was really hurt or sick she wanted her mom. She would always want her mom when she was scarred and when she didn't want to get hurt by someone she would go to her father or when an adult scarred her she went to her father. But for anything else she always went to Chester. To her he was her big brother and could save her from anything that hurt even when she didn't want him to save her. It was just a weird thing that Kris had she had a weird connection with everyone in her family. She wasn't a mommy's girl she wasn't a daddy's girl and she wasn't a Chester girl either she was her own but she liked having her family around to save her.
She started laughing when her brother cursed and ran out saying it was too hot she nearly fell over her belly hurt. She knew that he wasn't great with charms and such he got that from their father and all the damn practicing he had to do to become so good. But she was the one who got their father's house. She was good with magic dueling charms and what not if she practiced and put her all into some of her studies she'd be great. She didn't really care at that point. She crossed her arms and looked over at her brother. " AH! Chester! That's so mean making you're sweet little sister test for your mistakes. Gosh. [/b]" She laughed and pulled her wand out of the leather holster on her calf and waved her wand and made it warm herself. She smirked over at him and said " last one in is a rotten egg![/b]" She laughed and went running into the perfectly warm water that she and her brother made because she knew it'd be to cold for her liking so she made it just a little warmer.[/blockquote]

Chester rolled his eyes and walked in the water. "I can't help the fact I suck at magic." He sighed treading the water. It was nice a warm but alittle to warm for Chester. He figured his sister liked it this way so he just left it; she always did like swimming water warmer than him. They were different in alot of ways yet they still get along pretty well. At least she wasn't the type of sister who never liked hanging around him. Or at least Chester felt like she liked to hang around him from time to time.
"Watch out or I'll dunk you!" He smirked standing on the muddy lake floor. He raised his hands and wiggled his finger giving her the watch out face. Though he always seemed to fail at catching her do to his clumsiness. He always ended up getting hurt in some way.

Kristen smiled over as her brother came in and started to tread water. She rolled her eyes and floated on her back for a moment but laughed. " Hey now did I ever say that my amazing big brother wasn't good with magic? I think not! You just need to practice a little bit more that's all and you will be a great guy with magic just watch I know you will do it Chester. [/b]" She smiled over at her brother she really did love her brother and she loved having the little spurts of time with him where none of the people in school mattered or anything just having herself here was perfect. She sighed and swam around a little bit she knew her brother was a klutz even worse then herself sometimes. She felt bad for him but she knew he made up for it in other ways. That was what she loved about Chester even though he hated being a Klutz he made up for the mis fortunate. She smirked over at her brother and crossed her arms letting her legs kick and keep her above water. She wasn't happy about that. " Just because you are taller then me Chester doesn't mean anything. Besides you dunk me I will hold onto you for dear life you will be coming with me no matter what.[/b]" She smiled over at him. She knew it'd be a scary thing if he could catch her but they both knew that Kris could have a death grip and dunking was the one time her death grip came out. She wouldn't be dunked without making the other person come with her. She looked over at him. " So got a girlfriend yet Chester? Mum and Dad I'm sure would be thrilled to hear it. And well I'd go ape on her and threaten her life if she took my big brother away from me.[/b]" She gave her smile to him. But it was true she really didn't like anyone taking her brother away from her.[/blockquote]
